QUALIFICATIONS:

• Male
• 25 years old and above
• Candidates must have at least Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate
• Must have at least 5 years experience in welding various materials, especially STAINLESS STEEL, SHEET METAL, ALUMINUM parts and various techniques and equipment such as Plasma cutting, MIG and specially TIG in an assembly environment
• Preferably have an experience from JAPAN
• Have completed a government-recognized technical program in Welding
• Able to read & interpret mechanical drawings and welding process specifications
• Have communication skills in ENGLISH and/or French (speaking, reading & writing) and willing to learn French (course offered by Employer)
• Ability to weld thin (1.0mm to 2.0mm) sheet metal steel, stainless steel and/or aluminium sheet metal
• Ability to read and work to engineering plans
• Control the quality and precision of the assembly to ensure compliance with the project requirements
• Heavy Duty welding
• Understand and interpret drawings to determine the best assembly
• Welding to minimize distortion of parts
• STEEL, ALUMINUM, STAINLESS STEEL
• Adjust and assemble parts into assemblies or sub-assemblies
• Manufacture of Truck Bodies, Semi-Automatic Welding
• Ability to operate a forklift

Main Responsibilities:

• Operate manual or Semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as MIG,TIG
• Grind (metal blend) cosmetic surfaces
• Perform minor repair to products
• Set up work area with materials, supplies and tools required for assembly
• Capable of welding multi passes w/ preheated pieces
